Default FDX-view/add RSV

I've combed through CBA sections 11 and 25 but can't seem to find what I'm looking for. Wondering if anyone out there has had a similar experience and can advise?

I have recurrent training next month and expect to be awarded a reserve line. I plan on protecting minimum days off and having two R days dropped.

Once the R days are dropped, can I enter open time during the view/add window and pick up a trip? The plan is to pick up a trip at the beginning of the month to get leveled.

I thought something about SUB applied, but can't seem to find anything in writing.

yes. You may do that in the view/add. And yes, you will be leveled for it.

After you are awarded your reserve line make sure that you do NOT bid recurrent that touches more than one day of reserve, otherwise, they entire reserve period is dropped.

If you are bidding 15 days in a row, this is especially important (unless it is something you plan to do). Just flew with a Captain who forgot to bid for recurrent training and had 15 days of reserve. All R days were dropped after the recurrent training slot appeared on his schedule and he had to go in and pick up trips to fly.

Talking ** Warning ** Boeing SOs do not read this post

If you are a junior guy in your seat, having your entire RSV line dropped for training isn't necessarily a bad thing since your trips are awarded before VTO lines are built.

Default 15 day r day block killer?

So you have 2 days recurrent and put it(you are a senior dude) on the first 2 days of the block. The sim is in the evening so you destroy the third day of reserve with the 12 hr buffer. Does that wipe out the whole 15 day block of r days also? (This could be a good thing if that is your intent.)

To wipe out the entire block, you have to have at least one R-day on both sides of the training foot print. For example, 1 R-day, 2 training days, 12 R-days or the opposite extreme of 12 R-days, 2 training days and 1 R-day.

It could be a good deal depending on open time. It is a great deal for the company.

Just remember to submit a monthly make-up bid if you do drop an entire block of R-days this way, because your RLG drops to zero plus the 9 CH for training for the month. Wouldn't be a very pretty pay check that month if you did forget.

And you don't get the training CH until the following month.

No training pay protection in this version of the contract.

the section of the contract you were looking for is:
25.C.11.f

Actually it's 2 R-days and then training. If you only put 1 R-day and then training, they will knock out the 1st R -day for the 12 hr. buffer and then the 2 training days and then you'll keep the rest of your R line. I learned that one the hard way.
