Default Vac Bank Deficit FedEx

Any drawbacks to ending the year with a vac bank deficit? I was considering MUV but why not just go in the hole? Just start the year with less hours next year?

What happens if you continue year after year? For example would you still get to bid 15 days if you started the year with only 50 hours in your bank.

To actually be able to use your days of VAC, I believe you have to have a positive VAC balance. Example, I used to use LOTS of VAC hours during the winter to maximize ski days and one year I was able to knock out a 10 day trip and a 12 day c/o trip in FEB/Mar with just 8 days of VAC. After my 3rd VAC week later in the year, I had a negative balance with one more VAC week left. To actually be able to use my 4th week, I needed at least 0+01 in my VAC bank. I did some MUV to bring me back up to a positive balance and was able to use my 7 days of VAC to go back in the hole some more!

You can also reduce your VAC footprint if its your last VAC week of the year. Example, you only have 12hrs left in your VAC bank, but have a 7 day VAC coming up and you don't want a 7 day footprint that could knock out a bunch of trips putting you in the hole. You can reduce that footprint to down to 2 days if you desired.
