How many SOs can FDX train a month
On the training letter they are only training 4-5 DC-10 SO's into the Boeing each month, 727SO. If they could train them faster why would they not? Maybe they figure they are not productive anyway? Maybe small potatoes compared to their other issues?
One piece of the puzzle for some of us junior is how many SOs they can train, ie how long till we would get displaced.
How many can they train a month?
Side note--is the caboose the Brigadier General?

They are looking to convert/certify one of the old 727-100 FDTs for 727-200 use...and bringing another 727-200 sim back into Hacks Cross from another outside location (...so I've been told).
Also, still sitting on 1,000 hours of leftover sim time in Miami from a previous contract.
Off-site training does cost more $$ though.

Hopefully, many drop papers and retire the first day of training, or their oral, or their first simulator, etc.

Yes....and used a lot of off-site contract locations.

Off-site training for this training cycle won't cost more, really. Many of the trainees will be displaced ANC F/Os. Even if they train in Memphis, the company has to put them up in a hotel, get them a car and pay per diem. Oh, and airline tix to and from ANC.

Seems to me that the conversion of the FTD and installing another sim at Hacks won't be in place in short order. These things take time.

Train then move....or....move then train?
From your post, I take it it's the first one.
