Default FDX- Gustav??

Is it just me or are there a whole lot of extra airport standbys on Sept 3 ??? Looks like about 5 or 6 extra on the bus. Any other jet have that in open time?? Latest track shows the storm northbound right up the Mississippi.

Could be a bunch of disrupted trips and airplanes that need to be moved away from bad weather. Sounds like good planning to me?

I had my Monday night D/H to MSY changed to ATL, with ATL-MSY-MEM on Tuesday, with me also getting put into SUB for my trip on wednesday AM for legality, though I didn't see any conflict. Guess they didn't want us sitting down there on Monday or having disruptions down the line. To tie into the other thread, if anyone wants to PDO bump, I approve!

Looking at the Wx Channel, right now it's sitting over Kingston, Jamaica. If the latest track shows up the mighty Missisip, my money says it'll hit Brownsville, TX. Yesterday they had the heart of the envelope over Florida, now, missing it completely.

Probably weather potential coupled with post Labor Day volumes. Last year, I had one of those airport stbys for the day after Labor Day, lots of extra flights for all the extra freight. I ended up launching on an LAX o/b! Even RDU got an extra flight last year!
