There's an A300 (resplendent with FE panel) in Opa Locka right now. It looks repoed and is held in place with a large cement block. Probably cheap.

Seems to me that Everts may have dibs on that A300 already NAC had better up the bid...

Default Update on NAC

They are building a pool for the 767. Still in negotiation talk for new contract. No idea what the pay will be until the contract is signed. January bid sheet has 6 slots on it for new hire training. No interviews so far for them. Things are a little crazy at NAC. A lot of new changes. We are behind the ABX crews a 100%.

Is there any concern at NAC over Alaska Airlines expanding cargo operations with their new freighters?

Would appreciate an update on ANC schedules. I've heard in the past it's typically 4/3 or 5/2. Wondering if a new hire B737FO would hold ANC flying or would be sent frequently to LRD/MIA. Also wondering about typical pay credit and pay during training?

Default NAC info

NAC DO just announce that there will be a Miami base starting March 1 2017. They are starting to call for interviews for I believe both 767 and 737. Miami will be the junior base. Not sure how easy it will be to hold a line in Anchorage. We have no idea what the schedule or pay is going to be. Both sides are negotiating and trying to get a contract to vote on. There could be a lot of crews based in Anchorage pushed down south to Miami. As you can expect this is causing a lot of termoil. The biggest benefit at NAC is being home at night. If this changes and pay does not substantially increase you will probably see a lot of guys leave. We are hoping for a commutable schedule for Miami. I will update when I hear more. Safe flying!
