Just wanted to bump this back to the top. Curious what the schedule is on the 767 MIA flying. Is it a certain number on and off? Are they still hiring? Is training still backed up? Are all three aircraft that were supposed to be operating down there happenning now? Any other updates on just the company in general would be great. Thanks

It’s literally a shotgun spray of flights on your monthly. Our Crew Scheduling department literally gives zero $#!+$ about whether you ever see your family or not. You will probably work 17 days, they will continuously build crap schedules, and maaaaybe if your lucky you’ll get home for a five day stretch every month.

Brother, we don’t even know who the Chief Pilot or DO will be two weeks from now, so we have no way of knowing what you’ll be asked in an interview. There is no gouge. Even when we’ve had continuity in the office, they ask whatever they feel like on that particular day.

If you want to work for NAC, you should live in base if you want any QOL. It is not a place to be a commuter. The schedules are not built for commuting and they don't plan to change it.
If you live in base it is a pretty good place to work if you want to fly cargo . Keep in mind you will be flying a lot at night.
The 3 bases are all different.
Right now the hiring is still separate. (Aloha and NAC have not merged yet but we are all under the same contract and one seniority list)
Aloha is short handed on the FO side. If you want to live in Hawaii, (keep in mind it is not cheap to live there) they are hiring.
Starting out you will mostly fly at night, because the day shifts go senior. No ETOPS yet, so only 737 flying in Hawaii.
If you want to live in MIA area, the 767 is flying there. Almost no one who lives in HNL or ANC wants to commute to MIA so it has gone very junior. (new hires can get it). 767 is on the NAC side so you have to apply with them if interested in the 767 and MIA.
If you want to fly in ANC, well that is only 737 and also on the NAC side.
Rumor is we will be flying 737 in Lardo soon. No word if they will make it a base. In the past it was a TDY bid.
we do line bidding, and you can adjust your schedule after the initial bid. Lines are generally 3-4 days ON, 3-4 days off. but they vary a lot and depends on your seniority on what you get.
But if you live in base, it doesn't matter much.
If you commute, you will hate life.
pay and other info on APC page is updated an accurate.
new management started recently and are slowly making changes
we will have to wait and see how they work out
any other Qs, just ask
really tired of people coming here and then say it sucks
you should do your research before you decide to work anywhere
NAC and Aloha are not for everyone, but for others it is a good option.
we are not the top cargo place to work but not the bottom either.
oh and did I say, if you plan to commute, forget about coming to NAC

but 5 on the 767 in MIA.
no word on interviews
a new hire class in HNL starts first week of May.
seniority movement is relative to where you are on the list and what base you are in ( we are all on one seniority list)
for example
in HNL the bottom CA was hired 4/2018
in ANC the bottom CA was hired 7/2015
in MIA on 767 bottom CA was hired 4/2018
