Just tell your IPA president not to do us any more favors by telling the World what is going on in our negotiations. Especially when he has not talked to our ALPA negotiating committee first. He made himself look like a complete bufoon along with the fact that it was a stupid thing to do....

OK, I'll shut up. But it doesn't change the fact that you're in denial. Good luck in getting a contract.

FR8Hauler,
How do you know what the state of neg are for you all. Do you think your MEC is going to tell you all that everything is going great? Ill b et they will try to convince the pilot group that the sky is falling right up until the TA is submitted to the group. Come on, is this your first day at this???

Oh, buy the way, the way I figure it, if what our Pres said is not true, its justifiable payback for the crappy "openers" that ALPA came out with regarding compensation that really screwed us about two to three months ago... Remember that, Oh-thats right, Forgot about screwing the IPA on that one didnt you. We'', we didnt... 8% pay raise... Nice job on that...

Sasquatch,
Tell your source to shut the **** up. Dealing with our issues will be handled in house, just as they should be... Tell her that her guy lost the election and to get over it... I use to have respect for her, but lately, I have none...

Perfect Answer. And so True. Who gives a **** about 10 dollars more an hour when your Deadheading around the world on the Floor of a 76. Or Deadheading for up to 18 hours. Or sleeping at the Sort on a lazy boy with 100 other guys snoring next to you.

FDX has the Quality of life and Pay. UPS has forced overtime at straight pay. Any other questions BrownTail?

I personally don't know the reason for the NMB meeting but feel that it is apparently 5 1/2 months after the last one. So to me it doesnt appear to be rushed. My understanding is that the teamster contract is up in the summer of 07 and UPS will want the IPA contract finished by then. Just a guess on my part.

If our groups are after different objectives well so be it. Lets not beat each other up, get enough of that already. I wish the best to Fed Ex and want you guys to get a great contract in all areas.

Since our negotiating Committee had not even met with the company for over a week when your IPA president made his big announcement that we were getting a deal any day, I think it is highly unlikely. Our chief pilot (management) had misspoke and told the press that he thought a contract was around the corner. He sent out a letter retracting it. We went through all the same things when we had a "one horse" in house union too. Believe me, I wish it were true... And NashMD11 hit the nail on the head in his statement above.

Default STOP the Madness

Gents
This back and forth "He said, She said" between FDX and UPS pilots is getting old...........and it is pointless.

MGT loves to spread rumors to get groups into little squabbles.
They love for you to take the eye off the ball. ya know, "pay no attention to the man behind the curtain."

True Capt Nicholson might have said something that was not completely accurate, but FDX's own System Chief Pilot said we are close..........do you believe him? The commercial appeal said we were close.........Do you believe them?

What is the point of FDX and UPS guys squabbling? Who will win that fight?

MGT (both UPS and FDX) will exploit this little infighting and again what do we have to gain from it............ so lets just cut out the MY Union is better than yours or the We are doing better than you crap............It serves no purpose.

Don't all of us FDX pilots want UPS pilots to negotiate a great contract?
Don't all the UPS pilots want FDX pilots to get a great contract?

Stop the madness!
