Default Atlas flying subservice for Polar?

I am up at Prestwick, and heard on the Polar Air call sign. To my suprise, an Atlas 747-200 N517MC pulls up to stand 7. What's the deal? Is Polar now fully integrated into Atlas's fold or what?

As of rigth now(3/27/06), Atlas will be integrated into Polar. When the merger is completed ,the remainig certificate will be Polar's certificate. It is still not clear if both brand names will be used with one certificate or just one brand name doing both squed and ACMI.

contract by an arbitrator ,(as usual, company will push for Atlas contract with Polar py and we will be pushing for Polar contract with Atlas Pay).
no one nows how anyone will be integrated , as usual an arbitrator will decide.

I talked to the recruiters at the WIA fair...they said to expect hiring once everything gets settled...look for an update on the website for hiring....yeah, they were vague...

both Atlas and Polar 400 managers claim to be understffed, however they are a bit heavy on classic side.....when things sttle they migth be furloughs instead of hiring. that comes from both managers at both airlines.
