Reserve line reconstruction

FedEx

Do they ever move your Rdays unnecessarily when they reconstruct your Reserve line?

For Example I bid the days off that I need off. They are not covered by vacation. If I have 7 days of vacation but only 3 Rdays wiped out for vacation, they will drop 4 more, even if I don't protect min days off?

In the process of dropping those days will they move the rest of the Rdays to fit their needs? I understand if Rdays needed to be added I could be in jeopardy of losing my days off I thought I had bid around.

They will take Rdays from somewhere to equal the # of days at Rday hour value (7X4.5=31.5)... The days in the buffers will be reconstructed based on your request in the Bid Period Processing Window...

They will take 7 rdays (not the hour value of 7 vacation days) or you can extend 3 rdays with a seven day vacation. You get to request the days you want if your vacation hits off days. They won't break up blocks (like if you wanted 3 Saturdays off) When you protect min days it works the same way. If they owe you 3 days you go into the reserve line reconstruction window and request the days you want. If it's reasonable they'll honor your request.

To answer your initial question they will NOT move your rdays to suit their needs. But, you will have to take the number of rdays off that your vacation was for. (not the hour value)

I called and asked this question two days ago. I called the union first but OUR contract admin person (DAVID) did not call me back. I was told he was there.

Call 800-238-7527 and ask your vacation person, mine was great.

My UNION was not (no call back)
