Foreign residents hired by FedEx?

Can y'all offer your thoughts on an issue that has me wondering if I should continue to update my FedEx application?

The FedEx pilot application pages contain this paragraph:

"Federal Express pilots are required to obtain security clearance from the USPS because they handle or have access to U.S. mail. USPS clearance procedures require a candidate to have resided in the United States for five years immediately preceeding employment (except for U.S. military assignments). Have you resided in the United States for the last five consecutive years (except for military assignments)"

If i'm a US citizen with FAA certificates but currently working and living in a foreign country as an alien resident. Am I disqualified from being hired as a pilot by FedEx? Anyone here know of any pilots from foreign carriers being hired by Fedex in the past? THANKS!

Should be if you are not.

I know a lot of guys who have worked for foreign carriers at FedEx. If you are a US citizen I would not think their would be a problem. Call FedEx Flt ops and ask one of the secretaries.
