Ted Stevens-Age 65 Champion-Hero to Zero. Off to jail?
I lifted this from another board. Looks like our bud who spearheaded the Age 65 change might end up in prison. Hopefully he'll be repeatedly spearheaded there by something else. It's the right thing to do!

“Alaska, and the entire transportation system are losing qualified pilots every day to the outdated FAA Age 60 rule,” said Senator Stevens. “It is important we change the rule as soon as possible to make sure our most senior and seasoned pilots remain in the system.”
Edit: Now that's jury duty I wouldn't mind for a change...

I hope the day he's supposed to get out of jail they add five years to his sentence.
Then somebody says something stupid like, "Hey, you'll still get the same years of retirement, you'll just have to live five years longer."

Reminds me when I was talking to someone and they were talking about a proposal to cashier the entire A plan and get a lump sum. They talked about how the lump sum was a better deal the earlier you die.
I said "say that again..." and he repeated it. I just don't see how dying early could be any part of a strategy for a "good deal".
