Oh, and your support too...LOL. We can tell you don't care if we lose our jobs so don't patronize us.

Get another Lawyer, the ones you have are seperating you from your money without any real effect. The next one might tell you the truth.
I do care if you lose your job, but there you go again with the hate for the only guys in the world who actually understand what you are going through, having been there ourselves. Our scoffing at the legal/political side of this is also the result of real experience.

Maybe they can build a theme park in Ohio and you can run the rides.:)

I'm happy that I can bring a chuckle to some.

But until they shut off the lights, I'm not gonna stop fighting for what I think is right. Even if that means sidling up to political pukes. I will not just roll over and punch out. Sorry, can't do that.

To the others that have expressed their support, even if just to say "good luck" (and mean it) I and the rest of our two groups effected by this thank you.

That way, when the deal gets finalized you will be one of the ones ready to move on if you haven't already. I guarantee many pilots will do nothing, so don't be like them. Rumors are that UPS will be hiring, so make that your goal.

In this respect you are spot on correct K9. As for myself, I'm prepared to pimp myself for the next job opportunity. But I know for a fact that it won't be at UPS. The UPS "spokesman" you quote in your previous post (his name is Norman Black) stated in June "that no pilots are coming over in this deal". And we all know UPS's record on hiring pilots from companies that it has bought. We do appreciate Capt Millers request to at least offer pref. interviews, but I understand that request fell on deaf ears.
I am going to put my stuff in when the next window opens and I hope that I get to the sim ride before they pull the plug. As a new hire with DHLAirways 13 years ago, we used your DC-8 sim. You guys have a top notch school house and wouldn't mind seeing it again.

Thanks Biggs, it's nice to see somebody that's not salivating over our jobs or saying we were doomed anyway. I don't feel that way toward the Gemini guys.

We all know it doesn't look good for the Astar/ABX pilots and certainly they should plan for the worst. But its not over yet. DHL and UPS obviously want this deal to go through. And they claim if this deal doesnt go through DHL will leave the US and even more people will lose their jobs. Ok, thats possible but I am not accepting that as a fact. Thats a great argument for them to justify the deal. If DHL is willing to spend a billion dollars a year to maintain a presence in the US than it seems like they may consider other alternatives if that doesn't go through.

I have very little trust in what the politicians say but I have even less trust in what the DHL executives say.

Good luck to the 10,000 American workers in Wilmington.

Not to rain on anyone's parade, but foreign carriers prefer people with experiences in aircraft not built 40 years ago. They really like those who have time in the types in which they operate. Can you think of anyone over in Asia/Middle East flying DC-8s or outdated B727s?

They are not as marketable as they may believe.

Sorry.

"They are not as marketable as they may believe."

Dude,
No need for that, I didn't see anyone brag about their jurasic jet time.
