Default Don't Do what I did...

Just don't do what I did...

"Honey, please ship my clubs to LAX for me so I have something to do while I'm sitting reserve out here..."

"Sure, dear. Whatever you say." (In my own fantasy world, that's how I remember it.)

A day later, "Sweetheart, I shipped your clubs with your shipping account number like you asked. I shipped them First Overnight so you'll get them tomorrow morning before 10:00 AM."

"WHAAAAT?.... Oh, NO!!!"

"What's the matter dear?"

"Oh, nothing, it's just that It would have been cheaper for me to go buy a brand new set of clubs than to pay for F.O. - no 75% discount!"

The next day...

I'm waiting at the gate of the Crash Pad complex, looking at my watch... it's 10:00 AM and they're not here!!! YEA!!!! 10:30 comes, and they're still late, but they arrive shortly after.

So I call customer service, "Sir, you won't be charged for the delivery, since your delivery was not on time." (I never got the $150.00 + charge)

THANK YOU LORD!!!!

First Overnight is before 8:30 to most places - no discount

http://images.fedex.com/us/services/...codes_FOIF.pdf

Priority is before 10:30 and we do get a discount on Priority.

Standard is by 15:00 to other than rural locations. 16:30 for rural.

Absolutely a true statement. We DO get discount on Ground -but it is 50% -vs 75%. Need to do the math. 'Rates' are cheaper via Ground, so 50% MIGHT be less money.

At any rate, if shipping Express, use the longest time -like 2nd Day - or FedEx Express Saver® to get the lowest rate.

And the guy who advised to send them to the Pro Shop is brilliant. That applies to just about anything you might ship to meet you on the road. If you're paying, you might as well get it hauled to where you are going to be 'using' it. PS . .put your beer in the bag too. . .it might be cold when it gets there

Hmmmmmm. Must have been 8:00 AM... late... It was a couple of years ago. I just stay away from First Overnight. Thanks for the correction.

Canadian, eh? Ever wash that hat you Hokie loser? BTWmove up to a doublewide, that travel trailer w/ the Dale Earnheart paint job might be OK in Note Carolina or JJ's driveway but in Germantown, it's no-no. (Of course, in RT's driveway is called an "upgrade"!)

'Canadian=Hokie'?

Thought it was 'Hoser', eh?

And. . . if he is that low rent a Hoser, he MUST be French Canadian, eh?

NOW, if he really is a 'Hokie', that is something to be pitied and your 'loser' comments are appropriate, especially about degrading the neighborhood, eh?
