FDX Parka size

Did any of you Parka buyers feel the sizes were true-or ran bigger or smaller than listed. I can't get to VF and wanted to order one. 5'10" 185lbs-any gouge?

Best thing to do is go to a store that sells Northface jackets and try one on and find the size that fits.

I went to the Northface website, they have a sizing chart you can use. I'm 6'0", 190lbs, and got a large(haven't received it yet). The VF solutions lady did say that if it doesn't fit, I could just return it for another size.

Funny you should ask about sizing for the new Parka. Mine (a Medium) just came in and it's too snug. I'm just over 5'9" and weigh 175 (I know, I'm not GQ material). All the other jackets/coats I own are either Regular or size 40. Slacks I wear are size 34. I have a Northface ski jacket that is a M/M and it fits fine.

This new Parka, without the liner, fits OK. With the liner it's just a little too tight around the waist. Sleeve length is fine. If I had a sweater on and put this Parka on I suspect it would be way too tight.

If you want a snug fit, it would be fine as is. Mine is going back Monday for a size L.

Did you use the side zippers to open up the waist a little.

I'm on the slightly-larger size myself, 6', 205lbs, 42"/36", and the Large is an absolute, PERFECT fit. The coat has lots of little zippers & snaps, and you can increase the waist by about 2" by just changing a snap or two. I used my Columbia 3 peice jacket as a size comparison, and the Northface was just a bit smaller, but again, it fits perfectly!

Btw, I found the big reflector thing velcros on the back, but anybody know where the two smaller ones are supposed to go? (Not that I'm planning on wearing them.)

I went to a Northface store and tried on a similar jacket. Looks like a medium for me, I'm 5'10".

Get it a little loose. Plan ahead for that future upgrade to the 777. Remember every leg will be catered with BS/BM/DS/DM per pilot.

I haven't tried it on, but was told by someone that tried on the Large that it was a little smaller than he expected.
