Default FDX - How did you MEC Rep Respond?

A few short days ago, someone said to call your rep for info on the NC Chair resignation thingee. There was info to be had but only via phone.

So I'm taking a poll. After all, a few elections are coming up at FDX ALPA

What block are you in?
How did your Rep respond?
Were you satisified?
Would you vote for your Rep again?

Default No Response From Hagan

I'm in block 7. E.mailed about NC and no response. Satisfaction: Low

ALPA is not a republic. Let's quit whining and start anew!

Please reattempt email. I thought I was 100% on responses there...obviously not the case. I"ll try to fix that.

My block rep indicated he was just as shocked and surprised as everyone else when he found out FE was resigning. He also said FE was a really good friend of his but he had not yet (at least 10 days after the fact) called him to find out why he resigned. Hmmm.....

Ditto. Mine also said that it was a personal decision of FE to resign, and that he definitely WAS NOT FIRED! Oh yeah, that was a satisfying response. Makes it very difficult to believe after what I've read here.
It also makes it very difficult to envision ever voting for him again if FE was forced out. If FE was in fact forced out, either my rep is not being entirely truthful, or he has not confronted DW and asked the tough questions. Either way, not a satisfactory way to represent me or the other folks in my block.

Theory--

It might be some that some of the reps did WANT to ask the tough questions but didn't get a chance. Some Reps may have wanted FE to retort but he, instead, slid silently away.

How is a rep supposed to respond to that?

Why are the accusations against FE secret?

Who in their right mind wants to be NC Chair now unless they are happy to be a DW sycophant?

Do you really want them as NC Chair?

What lesson should I learn here?

What would cause FE, a motivated pilot advocate, to just up and go on a moments notice?

Can we get DW a mandatory line check to "Gitmo." That's probably the only way we'll get him to tell the truth.

FE "resigned" and management pilots "requested to return to the line". Same difference.

Look guys, it's union politics, power plays and backstabbing. Is there really one guy here who doesn't think that this goes on in every union and hasn't become an art form with DW, DM and their group of sycophants, in ours? (I don't include the whole MEC, we are making inroads, but there are long serving members who have NEVER voted contrary to the wishes of DW). In the next round of elections, a simple question to the individuals running will be, "do you support electing a union president who is currently an officer in our union? I hope everyone will ask before they vote.
