FDX- Question: BLG buy up/trip trade

Can anyone tell me how trading a trip with another pilot effects a BLG buy up?
If I trade my 40CH trip for a 36CH trip, will the other guy get the extra 4 hours if his line was bought up to contract mins? I know it was addressed somewhere on this forum, but can't find it.

Nope the buy up is based on the line you were awarded. Any trip trading will not change the buy up hours in your line. If you trade a weeklong pairing you are not required to trade the 1 day penalty trip also associated with that line are you?

In theory, you could drop your entire line and still get paid your "buy up".:cool:
