Talked to my UPS driver today
He said that he is slammed and that he already beat his record number of stops this year than he had last year. His exact quote was, "Slammed is an understatement!"
Remember this at the big meeting tomorrow in ANC. I wish I could go but, alas, I have to fly.

Great, another UPS pilot who feels that they are not needed by UPS. I guess the meeting will announce that they are selling all the airplanes and using ground transportation only.
Yawn.

Yeah, I'll get right on that. I'll also ask him about his favorite movie and his favorite color too.

Yeah, well you sound a lot like Don Creamer!!
Seriously, I have heard that several managers are sweating it right now. I wonder if UPS would attempt to furlough IPA pilots before laying off some managers.
I personally believe that neither group will be laid off, but it does make me wonder if those guys feel like they are on the chopping block.

Hey UPS If you can't see that the aviation side of that place is extremely lucrative and from a profit standpoint just about as close to indespensible as exists in the english language then you are in trouble! The Chicken Little award goes to somebody. You guys are one of the few pilot groups that actually has some leverage and remember that when you have it all of management's postures and communications will be to the contrary, including a token furlough. It's in the Harvard MBA handbook.

FlyByCable - I believe you're a manager, correct? (at least one of your posts a while back made me believe so) - if it's not a state secret, has there been any speculation on mgmt furloughs? Tx.
