Default FedEx: memorial fund FE's son Freddy

Gents,

A memorial fund has been established with the Naval Academy Foundation for Fred's son Freddy. The goal of the fund is to donate a pew as part of the Naval Academy Chapel renovation. The pew would contain a plaque in memory of Midn Eissler.

Those wishing to contribute in Midshipman Eissler’s memory should note that their contribution is “In memory of Midshipman Frederick H. Eissler” and should make the check payable to the “United States Naval Academy Foundation” and send it to the attention of Ms. Violette Wright, Office of Annual Giving, USNA Foundation, 291 Wood Rd. Beach Hall, Annapolis, MD 21402-1254.

The donation of a pew in Freddy’s name would mean a great deal to his family.

Fred has worked hard for all of us. We have a chance now to show our appreciation. The donation is tax deductible.

pm me for additional info.

Update: Thanks Miyagi

Please feel free to add the following info to encourage participation. I talked with Ms. Wright this afternoon and she was happy to hear that there was an organized campaign underway and happily volunteered her contact info.

You can call Ms. Wright and make a credit card donation. Her number is (410) 295-4166. You can also contact her via e-mail at [email protected].

Thanks for posting this on APC. Hopefully we can get some folks to open up their hearts (and wallets!).

Cheers,
Miyagi

Gents and Ladies ...

FE jr. is my son's age. My son has a few friends at the USNA. I've been in touch with their families throughout this whole terrible episode. The USNA parents have a VERY GOOD email network to communicate among themselves. We've had conversations about the things parents worry about when they send their kids off to college (usually involved drugs, booze, car accidents, etc.). Never had we imagined a terminal illness such as this?

While speaking with them this week I was surprised to learn that they knew nothing about this church pew idea? It appears this may be a "FedEx Family" effort if that makes a difference to whether or not you contribute this the cause. I intend to get a check out this evening ... I hope you folks will consider doing the same?
