disruption FDX
If you are awarded a 10.5 credit hour trip (2 layovers, 1 backend DH), that is revised to a normal hub turn (1 layover, 6 hour pay) how do they calcultate your pay?
My understanding is you get trip guarantee of 10.5 + 1.5 disruption for loss of DH and 1.5 disruption pay for loss of layover for 13.5 hours credit. Or do they add the 1.5 X2 (disruption) to the 6 hours = 9 hours and they just pay the trip guarantee of 10.5 because it is more? And yes I just read the contract. Will call DT on Monday. This is a trip that is in SWP status. |
base pay for the trip stays the same, and should be reflected that way in the pay summary you can view from your Monthly calender (or in the crew info section in VIPS)
you get disruptions in addition to the regular pay. but, cancelling a layover by making the trip shorter doesn't count as a disruption (25S.2.c.iii) Canx the DH does count as a disruption and should get you an additional 1+30on the calendar if it's not showing up automatically, the forms section on PFC has an eform that you can submit. ask for everything and more that you think you should get, company never seems to have a problem explaining to me why I'm wrong |

This is a trip that is in SWP status. if you hold trip guarantee, which the SWP code usually does, you will get 10.5 PLUS any qualifying disruptions. The layover disruption is MORE than 50% of the layovers changed, losing 1 does not make it more than 50%. The D/H loss should pay, you will most likely need to fill out a pay log to get the disruption pay. Note: The following formula is used for determining layover changes. Determining whether more than 50% of the layovers have changed (for purposes of Section 25.S.) will be determined in accordance with the following methodology: 1. y = number of scheduled layovers when the pairing was awarded/assigned to the pilot. 2. x = number of scheduled layover locations that can not be paired with actual layover locations (matching location only, not date or time). 3. If the trip is shortened, layovers that were scheduled to occur after the actual end of the trip are counted as if they occurred as scheduled. 4. Layovers that were scheduled to occur during a standby sequence are counted as if they occurred as scheduled, regardless of how the trip actually operates. 5. If x/y > 50%, then a disruption occurs. |
You will receive 10:30 for the trip and 1:30 for the dh cancellation
Need to complete a FORM for the 1:30, which only one crewmember needs to complete for the entire crew. Be specific with the original pairing and the revision information. For example, someone pulled from a trip due to potential duty issues/weather put in disruption pay (hub turn to o&b) and was told that he was never on the original trip. Since they change the pairing number now with an XTRA ####, that person was never on the "current hub turn" according to crew scheduling. If you have the original pairing printed out, keep it, just in case you need to back up your request for pay. As for the lay-over formula, the contract states >50%, not >50%, so, two overnights changed to one will not provide disruption pay. Going back to MEM early does not count as disruption pay, i.e., three day pairing revised to two day pairing. First hand experience that it does not pay  |
