Default It's a Good Time to Retire!

Congratulations and thanks to those few who have announced their recent retirements. Your families thank you and I thank you. If I were just a few years older, I would join you now. I wouldn't wait for a Retirement Incentive package, and I CERTAINLY wouldn't want to keep working for a reduced paycheck. Time to enjoy life--and that generous retirement you have all certainly earned!

Default It was considerate

For all those not working, they can get started earlier with the heavy drinking.........Tommorrow, it would just be the "hair of the dog that bit you"!

Default Sticking together.

Let's band together brethren!

1. Fly SAFELY and professionally!!
2. Protect Min days off---no extra flying with carryover!
3. No Draft flying!
4. No Volunteer flying!
5. Stop picking up open time!
6. Take care of each other!!

How overmanned do you suppose we'll be if EVERYONE will do this? Slightly overmanned?? Probably. XX hundred overmanned??? I doubt it.

Fly all the "extra" you want when times are good, but now is not the time to rely on that. Our personal agendas need to give way to the collective good.

We can do this folks!!

I'm surprised it took that long, seemed obvious from DW's e-mail last night that the train was already off the tracks. The email is about what you'd expect after they stalled ALPA through peak and were still unable to get what they wanted from us. So an ominous message at an inopportune time with not unveiled manning threats seems about par for the course. Next we wait for them to attempt to negotiate directly with us in January via e-mail, rgs, and rumor. Right now I don't see any other reason for them to be waiting on the excess(which basically sounds like 08-03) other than to let it hang over our heads some more enhanced with the latest info.

Staring at a 30% pay cut No. 5 could be a tough sell.
Oh, and you forgot No 7. 25/60s need to graciously retire.
