Trips ARE being dropped in open time but they are also being picked up within minutes. I've seen this several times within the past few days while trying to pick up extra trips. A lot of us crew members (myself included) have been trying to get it while we can ... we're just trying to keep our standard of living. I'm not going to get on here and lie about not picking up M/U, VLT or DRF, etc., as we all know many crew members pick up extra trips but dare not say they do, so if none of you agree with me then so be it. Remember, there's a recession going on ... not just within the airline industry but also with the auto industries, housing markets and many other unfortunates. I feel fortunate to have a job because many of those folks don't. And during these dire times, there is no way I'm going to start bashing FedEx - all in all it's still a good company to work for. As for ALPA helping us out, well ... 'nuf said. Good luck to all of us and the other workers at FedEx.

No one is asking you to bash FedEx. So stop wrapping yourself in the purple and orange flag Mr. BZ. There may be overmanning, but the company is probably exaggerating the issue. If we (Fedx plts) continue to fly VLT or DRF and suck up all the extra flying then you are taking someone else's workload and justifying the proposed layoffs. It seems you "keeping your standard of living" while others hit the streets doesn't keep you up at night. Nice. No one is asking you to lie about not picking up trips either. Just don't pick up the extra trips period and let's see how much FDX is "overmanned". If you don't agree, then take a history lesson from UPS, do your homework and think about someone else for a change. Now that I think about it, I hope you do "GET IT WHILE YOU CAN". You deserve to get it right in the....

The Union needs to be looking into how the company is dumping these "scraps" into open time. Today, the same trip on three different days gets dropped in OT...a JAX O/B.

So, no trips anywhere, then the SAME trip on three different days, separated by a week each, show up.

I am convinced, they are hiding the flying. Give it to the reserves for free, make it look like we are "out of freight" (give me a break!), and keep from paying the M/U monsters.

Anyone else notice that the Fuel Sense - My Flight History information has disappeared from the pilot.fedex webpage? Can't tell how much I've saved, or should I say had saved, the company in these trying times.....

It reports your monthly/yearly savings. Have you flown any trips in 2009?

Yep... Maybe it's just slow to update.

It usually takes a day or two for a leg to show up, but then again, they may have shut it down.

So many things wrong with this post I don't even know where to begin. Guys like you are why we won't have the cohesiveness to weather this storm. Trying times are when people's true colors show - and yours are showing. Hopefully guys like you are few and far between.
