Default Is it True?

Heard there will be a meeting this thursday concerning manning plans and the future of the DC-8.

Not sure if this is taking place in ATL or SDF.

I guess with the MX being delayed, rumor, the DC8's may go earlier. Which means a displacement this spring.

Thoughts? Any truth?

I may be completely off base, but, I'll believe it (no matter what "it" is) when I see it.

Till then, you're just spinning your wheels and not making any headway.

I hope to get a wiz test sooner rather than later, but till then, I'll be optimistic that things will turn around eventually; it's only a matter of time, and patience.

Commando,
Meeting this Thursday to discuss the possibility of putting bunks on the 8 is true. Meeting to be in GSO where they have a model installed and to watch how a JS crew will use it.

There is probably going to be a displacement off the 8 this spring anyway, even if they keep em all. Have you seen the lines on the 8 this next bid period? Lots and lots of reserve coverage.

Had IE honcho on jumpseat this afternoon and when I asked if the 8's would be parked after April 1st he stated that 15-18 DC-8's would be parked on February 15th. 6 would stay active, with 5 additional used as spares. Also said that 12 757's will be unassigned, whatever that means.
