My vote is Antigua......

MD11Fr8Dog 01-15-2009 03:14 PM

My guess its BQN-IND with an MD-10

onetime 01-15-2009 03:16 PM

Any idea on how to find out where these 3rd party vendors are flying right now? Grand Cayman, Barbados???

Overnitefr8 01-15-2009 03:59 PM

Isn't it Tradewinds?

HoursHore 01-15-2009 04:00 PM

Its the old tradewinds stuff outta BQN.

Busboy 01-15-2009 04:00 PM

Will the Carribean lines have carryover?

Overnitefr8 01-15-2009 04:02 PM

Better yet, will they have weekend layovers?!

Overnitefr8 01-15-2009 04:03 PM

That carryover.

ClutchCargo 01-15-2009 04:10 PM

Upon furthur review...probably SJU-IND, BQN-IND, maybe some GSO thrown in... Not quite as exotic as I'd hoped.

MEMA300 01-15-2009 04:20 PM

Nice addition. Too bad the only way I will go there (BQN or SJU) is off reserve when there is a CAT 2 or greater hurricane.

ElvisLives 01-15-2009 04:56 PM

More important than the sun, sand, and rum is the 40 jobs it may help keep on property! That being said, not a bad place to spend an afternoon or layover!

Been there done that. Panel of the DC10. The waves breaking on the rocks while drinking caparhinias at the Waikiki were spectacular....

But it's international, so only 1 can fly it at a time. :)

TheBaron 01-15-2009 06:51 PM

I thought all the ND's were going to the 777.

Check out the 777 training letter, only about 3 older gentlemen on it and all going to the right seat. Now check out the 757 training letter. Looks like under current law, the 757 will be domestic only

Take an ND snorkeling

So if you get paired with an ND Captain, take him snorkeling and toss his wallet off the boat. He'll jump in after it and you know he is too cheap to come up for air unless he finds it.

I suggest you take out the cash first and keep it. It's money that should have been yours had he retired like all captains before him.

Can't you just leave FH out of this?:p

International

While Puerto Rico, Hawaii, and Alaska are considered International for pay purposes, they are NOT affected by the over 60 restrictions/rules. Canada and Mexico are governed by the over 60 rules.

MadPuppy 01-16-2009 02:31 PM

Missed the "not"

Sorry...forgot to add the "not" to my post. Puerto, Alaska, and Hawaii are NOT affected by the over 60 regulations.

Big hole in scope

I am happy that we are going to start flying to one of my favorite places on the planet, the Caribbean.:) However, upon further inspection I am angry that FedEx has been using pilots not on the master seniority list to fly planes greater than 60,000 for "several years." Caribbean Transportation Service and FedEx have literally been flying a couple of Airbuses through the hole in Sec.1.b.4. of our contract:

"Notwithstanding any other provision of this Agreement, the Company may continue to interline, co-load, code-share, part charter and enter into block space agreements with other carriers to move freight and service international (outside the contiguous 48 states) markets as required. Within the domestic system (the contiguous 48 United States) the use of the above shall be done only: (1) when necessary to expedite or (2) when economically necessary, unless otherwise agreed to by the parties."

Glad we are going to start flying the stuff we should have been all along. Break out the rum indeed!

How have they been getting away with this? All the flights either originate or terminate in CONUS. It's not at all like the deal with the Canadian flying.

What amazes me is that people were unaware that it was occurring in the first place.

Cheers,
