FDX - Jetflyer says furlough
In the Jetflyer yesterday, one of the rumors discussed was a furlough. Here is what was said: "300 will be furloughed on June 1 and 300 more later in the year".
Because of all of the moving parts required (training, buying of houses, junior guys at HKG and ANC...), a furlough does not seem likely to me. Has anyone heard any thing else to back up this 300/300 rumor?

Why is this rumor any different than any of the other 2000 rumors that have been floated here for the past year or two? Is it because it came from Steve and his Jetflyer? Remember, it's a rumor.
Jetflyer is an email that one of our guys has been producing and emailing for a few years now. I'm sure someone has his email address if you're looking to get on the list. I'm on my laptop and don't have it here.

What's this guy's success rate in the past as far a predicting future events? I've never received the jetflyer so I have no way of judging this prediction. Now if it was BC saying this, I'd be looking up the number for that truck driving school right now . . .

I wouldn't put anything this group in management right now!

Well according to the latest AOD Today, PC was a '5 Star' winner ... 'His flight training vision enhanced training efficiency and throughput, and developed systems to automate complex process of accounting for flight instructor activiities; flight contributed in excess of $13M toward Critical Few cost reduction initiatives.'
Maybe he's looking for more cost reductions and efficient training throughput...

To reiterate: Jetflyer did not predict a furlough he was simply repeating unsubstantiated crewbus rumors.
