UPS hiring question

Recently interviewed with Brown but 3+ weeks have passed and not even a Rejection Letter! Does everyone wait this long to hear one way or the other?

If selected and placed in the 'pool' could one ever 'time out' and have to re-interview? Is there an average amount of time from being 'pooled' to starting class?

Thanks in advance for the insight

I think it is average to wait 4 weeks for the letter, either way. About being in the pool, I've known people that were in the pool for 4 days, while others have been in for 16+ months. There was a rumor going around that poolies were going to have to re-interview, but to the best of my knowledge, that is all it was, a rumor.

Btw, how many interviewed with you and have they been interviewing since?

UPS stuff

He's right. It takes about 4 - 5 weeks to hear back from UPS. I'm floating in the pool right now, which is fine by me. I'm finishing up training at CAL right now, so we'll see what to do when UPS calls me for class. Hmm, been here at CAL for 2 months and already have 150 people behind me or go to UPS and take that road. Decisions, oh well. Enjoy!

Negative Ghost rider, talked to HR last week, the reinterview rumor is FALSE! He said the only thing that may happen is you may have to fill out a new app when you come for the medical. I asked if my bud should do this now, I was told it is something they will take care of WHEN you come for a medical.

Dogsnot-

Just wondering if you could post your times as well as how many recs you had. Thanks

Ups

1 other guy interviewed with me. We didnt get to chat long so we did not exchange contact info. Therefore I dont know his fate.

I had 2 Rec's. 1 from a line FO, another from a senior Management type. My times are 6000+ all multi engine. Military background with TWA and AMR
( FE/FO ) on the resume as well.

4-5 weeks for a rejection letter seems a bit.......harsh?

Thanks for the info that poolies do not need to re-interview. Good luck to everyone searching for a job. I hope you find what you are looking for.

4-5 weeks is very harsh, but typical. Get used to it ;) Good luck in getting hired.

If you're lucky, they won't hire you. This place sucks, go somewhere else instead.

it's too bad you let how this company is run affect your attitude so much. If UPS is so hard on you, why don't you pick up your bags and leave?

Just talked to someone in HR today and they said next class will be in June with 14 new hires. It was supposed to be only 4. Maybe the JA calls will stop?

They also said they are just waiting for the word from Atlanta to hire like crazy. "Any day now" were the exact words.

Just thought I would pass that along.
