Commuting from LAX-ANC
 

I've been displaced starting MArch 1st, and for fun, I've decided to commute from LAX to ANC. I have schedules for the passenger carriers; Are there any non-stops to ANC from LAX on any of the Cargo outfits?

Check NWA freighter sched. Go to NWA.com andd hit the cargo link.They used to have one direct to ANC. Who knows what delta will do with it.

Try UPS out of ONT, lots of open seats on that flight! Going to be upgraded to the B747-400 soon complete with friendly cabin attendants.

The only downside is they wear brown.

I am on that flight all the time. There are NOT a lot of seats open. sometimes it fills up 12 days out.

then book 13 days out.

Look at Atlas/Polar. Was told by their crews they have or are about to start that exact leg

Concur with the above. I primarily use this jumpseat to commute to ANC, and it is always full....not to mention getting bumped by priority 3s all the time. On my last commute, I got bumped twice in a 12 day period. I guess that I was lucky I checked the jumpseat site practically every day to re-list each time I got bumped.

This particular flight is definitely not commuter friendly for non-UPS jumpseaters.

Also, it's a MD-11 for now.

I operated it last night. I saw all 6 seats full about 2 days ago, 4 full 12hr prior. Left with 4 open seats.
Never been so happy to not be a commuter.
