FedEx FE written question

Does anyone know what FedEx's policy is regarding the FE written? I took it about 4 years ago, but I've been employed by a 121 carrier (actually two of them, with no gap in employment) since. I believe the FE written should stay current per the FAA, but does FedEx want applicants to retake the test every 2 years? I did pretty well on the last one and I'd hate to tempt fate and screw up my good score as its hard enough to get a job there these days.

Any thoughts or insights would be appreciated.

You have to have it current in the last 2 years, regardless of 121 employment. Fedex does not use the 121 waiver (we are supplemental Part 121 carrier). So I guess it's back to Gleim for you!

Oops, Tony, guess I got fat finger syndrome.

Ummmm... Part 121 Supplemental

I've never seen it written, or even heard it from a "reliable" source, but the "word on the street" has always been that you need a current (sans waiver) FE written to be considered for an interview. Absent any substantial word to the contrary, I'd use that as "safe" guidance.

You did pretty well last time - - try to ACE it this time. :) Good luck!

- The truth only hurts if it should -

Bite the bullet and keep it current. Think of it this way the other 15,000 or however many there are now have...

I guess I'll have to hit the books again.
