Drafting a flex for ASBY

Good bud of mine the rt seat of the MD got called 3 times for draft last week.....

,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Got called the 11th for a 3-day, the 12th for a 3-day, and 13th for a Airport Standby in the back of the 727 this week.

Keep it coming fellas.

Stuff like this only makes our case stronger. The stronger our case, the less BLG drop for all of us; and maybe in the process I'll stay employed.

Got called today for a draft, 2 day trip in the left seat of the 11. I politely declined. 3rd time this week they have called for draft.

This in addition to another buddy called twice last week for draft.

So, why the calls if reserve utilization is so low? Why the calls if we are so overstaffed?

Could the company be hiding trips, and intentionally abstaining from calling reserves, drafting instead? Doing this would strengthen the company's position on implementation of 4A2B, yet having drafts (hungry, short-changed pilots) picking up the trips. Interesting to say the least.

Things are getting getting pretty tough around scheds if they're calling 727 Capts for MD-11 trips. No wonder you "politely declined."

Well, since you brought it up....I personally liked your Convair on Takeoff or the airspeed indicator better. You know what they say about opions though....

I got called 17 times last week. Mostly credit card offers though.
