Default FDX -We won intl postal contract

Friend of mine traveling in Europe read in a business newspaper on Thursday(?) that FDX won the international postal contract....90,000 additional packages a day.

Things that make you go hmm....

Hope your're right but check the date on the NYC article...Published: June 9, 2004.

Haven't been able to find anything official in the news yet.

As much as I would like to believe the good news, I find it odd that there is not a press release from the corporate PR folks on the investor website.

That's June 04 in Euro-years. That equals Feb 09 in US years.

I was skeptical myself, but the 90k pack reference was interesting.

BTW, we lost LL Bean FYI.

I can't find it anywhere either. Guess we'll see what is officially put out.

I talked to a guy at corporate who told me about the LL Bean contract. Apparently we made absolutely nothing (profit) on those packages and the competitor who now has it made a serious low-ball offer.
