The only bennie to the company that I see with a vacancy bid separate from the excess bid would be to keep anyone from having more options when bidding HKG, ie. being able to bid back out during a vacancy when their seniority allows, rather than during the minimum time per the LOA, also, a better move package out. I actually would consider HKG to relieve an excess, knowing I might get my house bought here, then again in HKG when my seniority (an a vacancy bid) would allow. Other than that, no way! It'll stay junior!
