Time to come clean...I'm tired of the current MEC because I don't like to be told I'm "off my rocker". Time to tell us all who you are...;)

Yeah....off my rocker here too. These same guys said that HKG would go senior, I wouldn't lose my Captain's seat due to Age 60 Fall out, 777 rates were already in the contract.....ad nausem. Wrong on every count. When I contact them to voice concern about something, I am told "You seem to be the only guy out of 4700 concerned about that."

We urge you to do the same. ...

Well, if you read the highlighted part, you'll see that the MEC advocated supporting the NPRM (i.e. internal FAA) process for chance. That's not what happened. Instead, we got Congressional change. So much for sucessfully "getting on the train."

The "and for the protection of our members' seniority rights" quote is a "motherhood & apple pie" synonym for retroactivity. By couching it in such terms they hoped that it would escape our attention that Webb (with the MEC's blessing) was planning to ignore the desires of the majority of his constituency. It wasn't necessary. Congress wasn't planning for it, nor was the FAA, and it's only through Webb's initiatives that we saw the wholesale migration of NDs back to the front.

It's one thing to accept an inevitable rape... it's quite another to subsequently invite additional participants. Your highlighted quote doesn't support Webb's action, it indicts the entire MEC. Hence the "no incumbents" sentiment among a majority of the crewforce.

Sent my email today pushing for Scott Stratton.

Emailed my rep pushing for Scott.....time for CHANGE.

Not that they will listen, but email your rep. I did with no response, I think the DW hangers on will just be voted in and that will be that. I have very little faith in the system anymore. These guys just keep voting themselves into office. You just pay your money and don't get any say. Isn't this what we fought the Revolutionary War over? Taxation (alpa dues) without representation.

DM & WR are so out of touch with the average line dog and mainly interested in furthering their own good deal. I don't doubt they work hard and make an effort, but we need change in the front office now.

Block Reps need to listen to their members and vote accordingly.

Also, no more "it wouldn't be prudent to endorse anyone until we know who is running..." BS either. The window to declare candidacy has been open for 60 days; who else are these waning MEC members waiting for? Is another DW crony waiting and ready to float to the top if the heir apparent(s) is deemed unviable?

I asked my rep who he was voting for, and he did not say. I hope that means he isn't sure yet?? I asked him if he got campaign info from all the candidates that he could share, and he said he did have some, but would not let me read it. He told me it is my responsibility to call and email each candidate myself if I had any questions. I just wanted to read what they had already put out there to the reps!

When they vote, will we get to see which reps voted for which candidates? I sure hope so.

DM is so out of touch with the pilot group. The entire group, not just the ranters and ravers on APC.

As a ranter and raver I say, "What a bunch of BS." Why is it your responsiblility? Is it a big secret? If these guys have any stones they should let us know who they vote for and why. They do represent us, or don't they? Maybe (some of them, not all)they are just representing themselves.
