Default Hotel Stand by at Guangzhou/ FDX A-300

Anyone done the hotel stand by at CAN? They have two types in the bidpack, a day (1200-2300), and a night (0100-1230). How much were you used? How about the hotel ( the Novotel )? Area, etc... Thanks. You can PM me with your comments if you want.

On a MAJOR trip modification - we ended up staying at the NOVOTEL. WONDERFUL property - but it's an airport hotel. Really - it's a class act, and it's NEW. Ask about the free breakfast - I slept through it - but the F/O got it.

If you're deadheading out - the terminal is about a 100 yard walk out the back door through a covered breeze-way. HANDY. It's not close to anything as near as I can tell. Also didn't have time to do any exploring.

Rooms are direct-bill I believe - we had confirmation numbers due to the disruption - so no need to lay down a credit card and then do an expense report. Internet is free.

I did a short layover at CAN and stayed at the airport Hotel. There is nothing around there except the terminal. I didn't walk over there. The rooms were nice. The workout room was not much and hot inside. It's going to get old there very fast unless the terminal has some entertainment value and restaurants.
