World Airways Furlough

World is set to furlough 20ish from a reliable source. (for now) Good luck to those affected.

A good friend of mine is one of the 23 to be furloughed March 31. He said 16 MD11 FOs and 7 DC10 FOs and 4 DC10 CA downgrades. Also apparently losing one of their cargo contracts affecting 2 MD11s due to a weak cargo market.

Best of luck to them all and let's hope things improve quickly before it gets any worse.

The bottom 23 are August 08 new hires. Hopefully this doesn't last. Best of luck to all that this affects.

It would all be the class date starting in mid october it was a class of 35ish people. Unless a bunch of those guys already jumped ship.... therefore an august guy would likely be safe for now. Unless you are counting hire date as something different.
