Default USA Jet

Hi!

USA Jet is offering contract positions for guys to come back.

DC-9 capts get $4.0/mo guarantee. If over 40 hours, get $100/hour, and you get perdiem. No other benefits.

Said Aug was busiest month in over a year.

More indications that the upturn is upon us.

a few questions here...
How many 9's is USA Jet currently operating?
How many pilots do they have for those airplanes?
And are they looking for first officers at all?

Thanks

Hi!

According to the ads (jsfirm.com), they are ONLY hiring FOs, for the -9 and for the DA-20. -9 requirements are higher.

Sounds like USA Jet is living of desperation of pilots. But a job is better as no job

Business has been turning around a little. From May on each month has gotten better. Most 135 autmotive companies have been hiring back.

It just sounds like the pilots are the ones getting shafted.

I thought that USA jet had grounded all their falcons. Are they up and running again?

Hi!

USAJ shut down their falcons for 6-8 mos, then they slowly started bringing them back.

They had a really good contract for one, and were planning on putting more on this contract, but then the CEO decided to sell all the Falcons, so he cancelled the contract. Then, they did not sell the Falcons, but the contract was gone.

In Jul, 2008, they shut down the falcons, and sold some and sold all their spare parts, saying that the Falcon would never make any money again. Since Feb? or so, they have been slowly adding Falcons back.
