IOW ...

There may not be as many bodies coming to the Bus to relieve the staffing issues as the bid reflects.

Since when do they want more than 54 million? The union said they can save way more than that over 3 years? And that's without touching the contract.

Not only no....... but hell no!

I know that was the truth when this started but is that what ATL has responded with?

Yeah, so for the first time in history, UPS is interested in what the IPA wants. HA. What a laugh.
The junior guys are about to take it up the rear here. Mark my words!
Oh yeah, I forgot, it's UPS fault that the senior citizens are being trained.
If the old guys were smart they would retire now with their pensions. Otherwise, the younger guys are going to be so bitter and vote them away in 2012. Too bad the old guys aren't smart though. They are just greedy and prolly in it for the Asian rub and tugs. JMO

I would suspect that this post is from a management plant or wanna be. It promotes the division that the company is attempting to instill in the IPA.
It also demonstates a total lack of knowledge of the retirement plans or is intentionally incorrectly representing the plans. I suggest that you contact the retirement committee at the IPA for education and clarification.

Glad somebody said it - that was my first thought when I read his posts.

You fool, why would young guys cut the very same pension plan they themselves will retire from? Even you aren't stupid enough to cut your own throat are you?

Hey brownie, why don't you run for union president next time?

Let me get this straight, you are very near the bottom and live in ANC, but have not been maxing out your pay in the face of a furlough!? I can't understand that. There are plenty of people picking up OT, myself included, who don't have a problem with it. If a furlough is announced, I'll stop and so will 99.9% of the IPA if not everyone. That's the strength of the JA/OT ban language in the contract. I hope the company depends on us picking up JA/OT because that's the only way a ban could be effective.

Most people who go off spouting about not ever having picked up a JA or OT pickup are commuters. I don't understand why you would not do it when you live in ANC.
