Posting 09-01 Practice Bid...
Wasn't there supposed to be a practiced bid published today? Any new news or rumors on the HKG situation?
I like the companies new proposal of a $5,450 stipend to get senior pilots to bid HKG. I just think the company would rather cut off their owe nose though before ever agreeing to that...but you just never know...

I don't think you missed anything...I think there may be alcohol involved in the beginning of this thread.
1) The current posting is 09-03
2) The 1st practice bid came out on Monday, the next is scheduled for next Monday, 4/13.
3) The company proposed raising the FDA stipend $500. We (ALPA) proposed raising it to $5,750.

The Union asked for (and fairly, I might add):
Finally, our proposal unapologetically increased the FDA stipend to $5,750.00 per month to offset the cost of living in FDA locations. HKG and CDG are both expensive cities to reside in, especially if you are junior
The company "offered" (HAH!):
FDA: Although they offered up a $500 monthly increase, which is woefully inadequate, it comes with a great cost. Management wants the ability to “bump and flush” out of HKG. Although warned against doing so, management floated this concept to eliminate the payment of pass over pay to pilots not going to HKG via the FEPP program. No disguise here, they were very upfront with their intentions. We were also very upfront with why this was a “non-starter.” There is a perception (rightly or wrongly) among our pilots that very junior pilots in HKG are an impediment to the commencement of a furlough. More importantly, this is patently unfair to the current HKG pilots. These pilots uprooted their families and went to HKG under the auspices that the only way they could be involuntarily removed from HKG, short of closing the FDA, was to actually shrink the size of the FDA. Management also wanted the ability to G/T all pilots from HKG to CAN.
Wow. Do Cassel and Orlando sell used cars on their days off?
