FDX Insufficient reserves in ANC
 

Trying to drop a trip next week, unable due to insufficient reserves. I thought we were over manned, which was the reason I am being excessed.

Been that way for months :confused: Also, if you look at the monthly BLG's for ANC they tend to be higher than MEM yet we are being excessed! Go figure :mad:

The only 2 trips in MEM MD 11 open time are:

DH ANC - 4 days HSTBY - DH MEM

So ... maybe there really are insufficient reserves?

...those of us excessed from ANC feel so much better...:confused:

Three draft calls in the last week and a half. Overmanned indeed.

I had an RFO last week that was a CAPT because they didn't want to draft a FO and he was on RSV. Can't be said enough, "OVERMANNED INDEED!"

Been like that for past few months in LAX - very often we have only 2 guys on reserve and none for long periods of time to cover the intl stuff. I think the company finds it easier to ween down the reserves and then either hope a trip gets picked up out of o/t or go ahead and draft for it. Cheaper for them I suspect.

I think it is just about time for the Union to raise the B.S. flag and call companies bluff!! Either furlough or restore 4a2b pay cuts!! Remember we are playing a high stakes poker game with the guy who bet aircraft orders on the hope he could persuade the U.S. Congress not to pass new labor legisation??
