Default FDX- R days removed for vacation buffer

So the two days that get removed for your buffer (vacation with reserve line). Can you use those days for CIC, do they get docked against your vacation bank or what? I can't get anyone to answer the phone in futures (big surprise) and the period closes tomorrow. Thanks for the help.

I frequently bid reserve on vacation months ... here's my understanding:

Take your 7 days vacation (you can expand them into 10 days if you want), and subtract that number from the required (15?) days for the month. You owe them 5 days in this example. They will build you a "custom" Reserve line with 5 days. I've had good luck asking for the specific 5 days I wanted outside my vacation footprint. Good luck ...

Ditto here. I have used max vacation credit to knock out as many days as I want, and I have also just knocked out the number of vacation days scheduled. In either case, I slid my vacation footprint to the actual days that I wanted off (within 5 days of original schedule) and then just explained in clear text what I wanted.

For example, "I would like to only knock out 7 rdays with my vacation, and prefer to be on reserve 14-21 may if possible." Or " I would like to use all of my vacation credit ot knock out 10 rdays, and would like to sit reserve 14-19 May if possible."

It always worked out fine.

On another note, what happened to the "O" thread, or did I just imagine it?

To answer your question without all the "how I do it" stuff - R days removed for vacation buffer will be rescheduled somewhere else in the month. You do not get to do CIC.

I don't think there really are buffer days with your "Custom R Line" except in the sense that they will give you those days off if you request them. In this example, you owe them 5 days ... period.

Buffers are only used in line construction. After you get your line, you can pretty much do what you want with the drop/pick up. As long as there is sufficient reserves
