FDX--Calling MEM 300 CAs & FOs

Trip 406 is a Disputed Pairing--all month long. So are 114 and 118. These are bad numbers; avoid them like the plague in your hawking of Open Time and line reconstruction. You can remember three numbers! Just in case you weren't aware. No excuses, no questions. Be safe out there.

Yea, this is a JOKE anymore around here ....................... the disputed stuff is literally swallowed WHOLE, by the next day of OPEN TIME.
If we cannot address to the individuals involved directly, then what is the point of all this ???

Pairing 406 operates several afternoons a week. It is flight #568 departing to SEA at 1515 local. Stop by and say hi to the crew or catch them SEA around 1745 or 0550 the following morning after their short layover.

Good idea. Stop by, say hi, what are you dumb a******* doing? Get yourself fired. Sign me up for that one.:)

I guess you don't think it is a good idea.

You're correct, I don't think it's a good idea to speak to these folks anytime you or they are on company property. Just like this forum, anything you say...will be use against you. Use personal E-mails or private phone lines if you wish to "School" them.
You are upset that they fly a DP. I'ts not worth your job, is it?

Sometimes the lack of cojones and outright fear around here boggle the imagination. Grow a pair for goodness sake.

Another brilliant idea. Why don't you just "deck em" right there in the crew lounge. :shake head back and forth:

How about some work rules that prevent this type of flying in the first place!

golfandfly 07-07-2009 05:14 AM

Boycaptain,

You are right. But since we don't have those rules, what do you recommend? Since you are going to be a commuter soon, these kinds of pairings won't do much for you getting time at home.

I think the union should get involved. They should send an email to each DP flyer when the trip is picked up, just letting them know it is a DP and the reasons why the trip is disputed. That way they definitely know the pairing is disputed. Then after the trip is flown, publish names of those that flew the pairing so that other members can get feedback about these pairings. Publish the list in AOC and via email. It seems people are more likely to pick up these pairings if they tend to be anonymous.

I think it would be better handled coming from an ALPA email. I think we could get volunteers to monitor these pairings (how hard can it be), and send the emails out from an ALPA account. I think it would be seen as union business rather than an individual. In this day and age, I could see FDX trying to fire someone that decides to do this themselves.....

OK, just my idea. Any others?
