I shipped mine FedEx in a hard-side case a couple weeks ago no problem. 1000x easier than checking them on an airplane.

I get a ramp agent to put mine in abk. I've shipped them before on a non work trip too; use a hard case for safe guarding.

get a dowel rod about an inch longer than your driver to put in the bag. iit'll take the brunt of the punishment.
