Default Shipping Golf Clubs on FDX

Anyone ever ship their clubs on fedex directly to a hotel? Do they require the clubs to be in any special packaging, or can you just ship them in their own bag? With the employee discount approx what was the charg? Thanks in advance.

I just shipped my Golf Clubs the other day. I have a hard travel case that I packed my clubs in. I called the resort where we are staying and told them to be on the look out for them. I took them to a FedEx office store to ship. You only get the interline discount on express shipments. I sent my clubs from Atlanta to San Diego FedEx 2Day for 39.50. My clubs weighed 41.5 lbs. I'll let you know what happens when I get out there Thursday. Hopefully everything that I shipped in my case is there when I get there.

I ship my sticks all the time. Just write on the FedEX airbill that you are a guest staying at the hotel and what date you are arriving and the bell desk usually will hold on to them until you get there. Good luck.

I have a soft case, just wondering if they had a box big enough to put it in, or am I going to have to get a hard case?

I have a soft case called Burstproof. I forget who makes it. I have used it to ship my clubs about 20 times. FedEx will accept a soft case just as long as it is sturdy enough. If your case has no padding, I would wrap foam or something around the heads to protect them.

And if your clubs have a little extra dirt or grass on them when you get them, then you know someone checked out the course ahead of time for you.
