FDX - Back End DH Deviation Question
I apologize in advance to the grammar geeks for the run on sentence....
If I deviate on the back end of a trip to airport Y, can I get a personal (Non Dev. Bank) ride to airport X party and tailgate in the town of X like a rock star, then within 3 business days of arriving at Y buy an airline ticket that goes from Airport X-(subsequently through)Airport Y to Z(My Home)?
Anyone have any experience with this with Crew Travel audit? Thanks for the help!

Are you going to stay in City X for more than 24 hours?
8.C.4.d. Travel claimed as a deviation expense must begin or end within 3 days of the scheduled assignment to/from which the pilot is deviating (e.g. scheduled deadhead, trip or R-day) and must proceed to the intended destination of the deviation with no greater than a 24 hour delay enroute, domestically, and a 48 hour delay enroute internationally.
If they fire you I am sure you will be reinstated.

A personal example of an approved travel itenarary I did. Although it was on the front end for me, it is similar to your question.
My trip had a front end DH to FRA. I left home 3 days early, stopped for 2 days in CLE for a baseball game and deadheaded to FRA arriving one day early in FRA.

To summarize my options:
Fly to Y and deviate.
Personal ride to X. Debauchery ensues.
Lots of full, limited, expensive flights out of X.
Buy ticket X-A within 3 business days of Y trip and jumpseat to Z; or
personal ride to B and buy ticket B-Z.
With all these B's there should be a J in there somewhere....

Jake Speed - "It looks like my options might be different now anyway. Either X-A jumpseat to Z or another airport altogether B-Z..... Is X-A or B-Z an approved option the ultimate question. Clear as Mud? (IE can you spend your deviation bank money on any 2 cities within 3 days of a schedule trip.) Options? advice?"
The short answer is yes. I've done that very thing before. Jumpseated from IND to ORD at the end of a trip on Saturday, with a scheduled DH on Sunday. Stayed in ORD until Wed., and then used a deviation ticket from ORD through DFW to AUS to visit family (even though I live in Ca.). This was within the 3 calendar day limit of the scheduled end of the trip on Sunday. I could have left ORD on Tues., stopped in DFW for 24 hours, and proceeded on to AUS on Wed.
Again, the contract says, "Travel claimed as a deviation expense must begin or end within 3 days of the scheduled assignment to/from which the pilot is deviating (e.g. scheduled deadhead, trip or R-day) and must proceed to the intended destination of the deviation with no greater than a 24 hour delay enroute, domestically, and a 48 hour delay enroute internationally."
If you aren't sure about it, call Crew Travel Audit, tell them what you would like to do, and confirm it is legal.
