Ups Mia Gmm
Heard 3 people showed for the MIA GMM. Tell me it's not true...Pathetic!
|
how much did that cost of our dues. money well spent!
|
Surprising , considering they were DEAD last in MOU participation.
|
Can't wait to see their faces after we furlough and some of these guys get put in ANC because they don't think this affects them in any way!;)

Why not crucify those that don't donate to the IPA Foundation? Just curious? |
You have to consider that there are less than 200 pilots in the MIA domicile. Of that 200 a certain percentage are out in the sytem flying the line, are about to fly or just finished flying. From those that are left a percentage don't even live in domicile. Those that do are scattered as far north as Jupiter, west to Ft. Meyers and Naples, east to the Bahamas and south to the Keys. And even then, I-95 traffic and the Palmetto is no joke. I'm not saying we should be proud that 3 pilots showed up to the GMM, but this is the reality and demographics of the domicile.

Just guessing this is why the EB was reluctant (and NEVER should have!) released participation data... NEEDLESSLY causes division.

Wow, Avg Joe, you are reallllllly reaching back on that one. Let's try to keep our comparisons at least somewhat realistic..
There's really no comparison between helping crippled children (those that can't help themselves) and able-bodied, healthy, educated men and women in the prime of their lives. Have you ever considered how many LIVES could be saved with $130 MILLION versus simply made "more comfortable"? I seriously doubt any pilot or their dependents will die if furloughed. I can envision many uses for $130 MILLION that would save hundreds, if not thousands through water purification, vaccines, nutrition, disease prevention, etc... I realize this type of thinking doesn't fit your paradigm of "it's all about me". |
