Default The future of YIP?

Anyone know what the latest is at YIP? Anything to look forward to in the future or is this airport essentially dead?

Between the dwindling USAJet and Kalitta activity and the fact that I heard they just closed one of the runways permanently, things don't seem promising.

So that leaves them 4 runways. At the going rate, they'll be around for 200 years. When did 18/36 close, in the 70s?

Is it still open??.......hmmm I always thought it was an empty lot used for overflow from Tucson.

YIP will never close. It's the prefered choice for custom's stop inbound/outbound to/from Canada (YYZ, YQG, YHM, YYZ, YUL, YOM, YXU) for charter operators. Plus the FSDO is right there. No way I see them closing...ever...
