UPS hiring in 2010?
 

Anybody know when UPS will start hiring again? I'd love to get on there and get an Anchorage base.

I know Southern, World and Atlas are recalling and maybe hiring and was hoping that maybe big brown might be next.

Considering there are at least 2 threads (on the first page of this forum) on the subject of UPS furloughing in 2010, I would think it unlikely. Never know -- keep checking UPS's employment website.

That would be great if we were, but we ain't even close. 400 of us are currently waiting to see if we'll have jobs next year. Try back in 2014 or so, seriously.

This almost made me spit soda out my nose. You might want to wait and see how the MOU goes. Or maybe find out what an MOU is and why they are offering it.

Would it not be great if the retirement package was so good that lots of people took advantage of it. Then mid way through 2010 UPS found out they need more pilots!

Guesses here from everyone but I think it may be a couple of years before UPS hires. I think FedEx will hire before we do, but be prepared to move to France or Hong Kong if you are flying for purple and hired in the next couple of years.

And if you were hired at UPS in 2006/2007 be prepared to move to China in 2013/2014 after your furlough recall.

Isn't UPS always hiring ? Attrition is so bad among the sort workers ... ;)

OH, you want to be hired as a pilot ? Check back in 2020 ... :(
