It is a personal choice. Fedex has decided they are overmanned. During the overmanning period Fedex has decided they do not need to man reserves and arpt stby at historical levels. They are betting there will be enough greedy ba$tards to allow them to get away with this manning decision. They are probably right, but I will not help them.

Most of our guys do a good job, but it only takes a minority to prolong the pain! But, we all know that, right?

I thought the same thing as most of the previous posts. Simply fly your line and no more, help expedite the exit from 4a2b.
However, as of Dec 13th no exit and still getting our crappy 4a2b pay for the month and looks like we have it going into January. So, if the Company can handle the reduced BLG on our busiest month of the year...things aren't looking good!
After having spoken to more than a few facing financial problems seems that we are better off not flying any extra at straight pay. Wait for the VLT/DRF call and at least make a dent in your 15 to 20 hour monthly short-fall.
If it's not getting picked up at straight time then they will be forced to fly it at 150%. Seems a little more realistic when compared to the don't fly any extra. What good is it for them to stay in 4a2b if its costing them at least that difference in VLT/DRF pay?
Just a different approach to a problem that will probably only be brought to finality by an arbitrator.

And, yes, magically all the freight they wanted to move got moved. Without putting the hours on anyone's line.
