Comparison Chart
I would like to complement the effort putting together the comparison charts for the different types of airplanes that we fly.
I did notice that the order of things change significantly when the captains payscale was reduced to the lowest common dedominator. That being the year of pay that you are comparing. Note that Evergreen is using a 30 year scale and most of the rest are 15 or less.
I did a quick comparison using the 5 year scale, since Focus only goes up to that, and here is what I came up with.
These calculations are based upon the monthly guarentee x 5 year payscale:
1. UPS---------$12474
2. NWA400-----$11356
3. United-------$11245
4. NWA200-----$10812
5. Atlas--------$8866
6. Polar--------$7800
7. Focus-------$7620
8. Southern----$6720
9. Kalitta-------$6710
10. Tradewinds-$6420
11. Evergreen--$5850
I just thought that it was interesting to see how things change when you compare apples to apples.

Fed Up,
Sorry, the comparison is for 747 captain pay.
On the home page of Airline Pilot Central, right hand side of the page, it says Pay Comparisions. Below that it says turboprop, narrowbody, regional jet, and wide body.
If you click on one of those is will go to a page listing the models of airplanes in that catagory.
Click on one of those and it will bring up a page comparing all of the airlines that fly that model of and what the crew members from that airline are paid.
The first page that comes up is "Capt.-Max". The Max. goes from 5 years (Focus- not listed) to 30 years (Evergreen), and everthing in between.
What I did was calculate what a five year 747 captain for each airline makes for guarentee per month. I think that it is a more accurate comparison.
I hope this clears up some of the mud.

You could put World in there at #5 with $9490 (65hrs x $146). It is actually slightly higher than that once the longevity bonus is added in, but I don't recall exactly how that works.
World has orders for 3 747s (none currently on property) and currently operates MD-11s and DC-10s. The 747s will be on the same payscale as the 11.
