Mumbai to Taj Mahal info
#11
Greetings fellow Freight Dogs.
Blessed with an 80 hour BOM overnight next month. Thinking of taking Kingfisher through DEL to AGR to see the Taj Mahal. Looks like too long on the train to go both ways. Anyone made the trek from BOM? Advice, suggestions, other things not to miss, etc. greatly appreciated. Anyone who will be in BOM 5-9 Feb is welcome to come along.
Cheers

I took the tour from the Maurya Hotel, FDX Delhi layover. Bus trip from hotel, all westerners, + singaporean. It was all day affair, 730 dep, to agra then the taj. 2300 rtb hotel. Worth the once in a lifetime check in the block, but probably wouldn't do it again. Tour guide was interesting & helpful. Stopped for lunch at Intercontinental in Agra - good chow.

Taj Tour
A few years ago, I also did the bus tour from the hotel in Delhi. Roads can be very crowded, and navigating through the entrances can be "disorganized" at best. My Suggestion: Sign onto a bona fide tour group through hotel and try and do it with a buddy. Good Luck!
