Ups 777f?

Maybe it is the other way around Lil J. Maybe by getting rid of the managers combined with MOU savings reduces costs that ATL is looking for. Instead of getting rid of IPA pilots that directly make the company money, get rid of "management" overhead as a better way to achieve savings while maintaining flexibility regarding pilot staffing levels. The company did announce an overall reduction of 1800 management types throughout the system. It is possible they accept the MOU and get rid of Manglers.

Unless the flying becomes IPA then this means nothing. Reduce to 80 now and hire 1000 managers later instead of hiring into the IPA when the economy turns is a waste of time. Keep your eye on the ball.

In the meantime they can get IMMEDIATE savings from firing manglers now, and scare the remaining into good dogs that would actively fight any attempts to bring them onto our list. Then hire select ones back (at cheaper deals) after the current economy improves...or better yet, make them work the sort to learn how real UPSr's really work.
