I can tell you of a good carbon fiber case for your new laptop. A company called Mach 3 Composites Has a FB page with pictures.:)

Also get a discount at Apple. I think it's 5% on computers, 15% on AppleCare, & 2% on 3rd party stuff. (Or something like that.)

FDXLAG,
thanks for the link, I got the discount codes but the FX link didn't go anywhere. Do you know if there's a website to use the codes?

Thanks

Dell Discounts

All you need to do is go to their web site; dell.com/epp
You may need to select large companies, but otherwise no codes required. I bought a new Dell Laptop this summer and received a 7% discount.

Another excellent place to look for discounts is aafes.com for the military guys (active/reserve/retired). Same discount for Dell plus no sales tax (and maybe free shipping).

Hi!

I do not reccomend Dell any more. Their computers, and their customer service is ordinary, but they charge more than a generic co. (Gateway/Compaq/hp/Lenovo/Acer, etc.). They have proprietary parts, like apple, so you can't just go to the store and buy parts.

Apple is the best, and the most expensive.

I also think Toshiba, Sony and Intel products are not worth the money.

With your FedEx ID you can get up to 8% off on Apple computers and 10-15% off of other stuff but I'm almost positive you have to buy from an Apple store or on the phone from an Apple sales rep. You should just ask at an Apple store and they should know.

Oregon doesn't charge state sales tax on computers so I've known guys to pick up PDX trips to go downtown and buy an Apple laptop and not have to pay state sales tax.
